A study posted in the Royal Society proved the evolutionary advantage of laziness. After studying molluscs, experts found that those that burned more energy throughout the day were more likely to die.

Although humans are a far cry from clams, the capabilities of the modern world allow us to fulfil the bulk of our daily needs by literally lying on the sofa. And high workloads lead to exhaustion and loss of motivation.

Thus, the cut of the eyes, the shape of the nose, freckles can depend on genes. But laziness represents an adaptation to the environment.
