Immigrant jumping spiders have proliferated in Britain

T. Berry, a member of the British Arachnological Society, noticed an unusual species of spider in Cornwall County and sent three specimens to the expert D. Logunov. The latter determined that this was a new species whose close relative lived in the Caribbean. It was named Anasaitis milesae.

Presumably, the spiders could have migrated in food crates or on imported plants.
